15 CHMS students receive Brilliance Awards

Chung Hwa Middle School, BSB students achieved remarkable results in last year's 'O' Level in the University of Cambridge International Examinations.

They received 15 Brilliance Awards in a ceremony organised by the Examinations Department of the Ministry of Education. The highfliers of the school received 10 best results in the world and five best results in Brunei.

Andrew Koay Yi Jie, who scored 11As in his O' Level last year, received six Brilliance Awards: the best result in the world in Commercial Studies, the best results in Brunei in Commercial Studies, Geography, Additional Mathematics and top 10 results in the world in Additional Mathematics and Mathematics.

Yeoh Jie Ming, a CHMS student, won the same award last year. The school has produced the best students in Commercial Studies for two consecutive years.

Supatra Lee bagged the best result in Brunei in Principles of Account and World Top 10 in Mathematics and Commercial Studies.

Tiong Ying Hee won the best result in Brunei in Chinese. Catherine Tan Chiaw Yee, a Chung Hwa alumna, won the same award last year.

Tiong Ying Hee won the top 10 results in the world in Mathematics.

Sung Yoke Khee, Elena Goh Ying Hui and Liew Chee Won grabbed World Top 10 Awards in Commercial Studies.

Together with Andrew and Supatra, five of them are among the top 10 scorers in the world in the subject.
